Former Pakistan cricketer Kamran Akmal questioned Naseem Shah’s assertion on unity of the crew forward of the PAK vs BAN sequence
Former Pakistan keeper Kamran Akmal has questioned the team’s unity ahead of the PAK vs BAN Test series. His remarks come in response to pacer Naseem Shah’s statement saying that the side needed to show up as a team to get back to winning ways. Akmal said that Shah’s statement was worrying and asked if the team was not united previously.
No unity in Pakistan cricket team?
“Naseem Shah, what he said in the press, that’s a little worrying point for me. That we will have to play as one. What does it mean? Didn’t the team play with unity before? Such things are said in the media when there are such things in the team,” Kamran Akmal said on his YouTube channel.
“Yes, our comeback wasn’t great, and we can’t deny that we didn’t play good cricket. Criticism is part of it, and we must endure it until things improve. This is a good chance to bounce back, play better, and show up as a team,” Naseem Shah had said earlier.
Kamran Akmal advised Pakistan to play the series against Bangladesh with proper intent. He said that Shan Masood and co should aim for a 2-0 whitewash, just like they did the previous time they toured Bangladesh. He added that the side had not played good cricket in the recent past and hence the batters must pull their socks up.
