CEBU CITY, Philippines — Authorities efficiently shut down an alleged drug den in Barangay Poblacion, Sibulan, Negros Oriental, and arrested three suspects throughout an anti-illegal drug operation final Wednesday, November 13.
The arrested suspects, together with the alleged drug den maintainer, are dealing with costs associated to unlawful medicine.
Operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Company (PDEA) Negros Oriental Provincial Workplace performed the buy-bust operation at round 8:40 p.m. on Wednesday, in coordination with personnel from the Regional Intelligence Unit 7 – Negros Oriental Provincial Intelligence Workforce.

Amongst these apprehended was the operation’s main goal, recognized as 28-year-old Tristan Paul L. Patriarca, the alleged maintainer of the drug den. Patriarca, who’s unemployed, reportedly disposes of 15-20 grams of unlawful medicine each week.
Additionally arrested have been two alleged guests of the drug den: Ryan R. Fontejon, a 33-year-old development employee, and Anselmo N. Abella, a 37-year-old carpenter.
Authorities seized seven packs of suspected shabu weighing roughly 8 grams, a cell phone, and varied drug paraphernalia through the operation. In keeping with PDEA-7, the confiscated medicine had an estimated market worth of P54,000.
Leia Alcantara, spokesperson for PDEA-7, revealed that the drug sting was initiated based mostly on stories from involved residents. Following a four-week case buildup, authorities raided the alleged drug den and apprehended the suspects.
As of this writing, the three males stay in police custody, awaiting the submitting of formal costs for violations of unlawful drug legal guidelines. /clorenciana
