AFI disaffiliates 16 districts for skipping inter-district Nationals

In a primary, the Athletics Federation of India has disaffiliated 16 district associations throughout the nation for failing to ship groups for the Nationwide inter-district junior athletics meet held in Ahmedabad in February.

The listing contains Panchkula, which can host the Inter-State Nationals in June, Tamil Nadu’s Krishnagiri and three districts every from Meghalaya and Jammu and Kashmir.

“We’ve got given sufficient warning for the final two years,” AFI president Adille Sumariwalla instructed The Hindu whereas confirming that it was the primary time the federation was disaffiliating district associations for skipping the inter-district Nationals.

“The suspended districts will probably be eliminated and recent associations will probably be shaped,” stated Sumariwalla. “That is as per the AFI structure.”

The State associations have been requested to take applicable motion, in session with the AFI, and type the brand new district models.

And the inter-State Nationals in Panchkula, Haryana, will not be in any hazard

The disaffiliated districts (with title of State/UT affiliation): Panchkula (Haryana), Budgam, Ramban & Shopian (all J&Ok), Lohardaga (Jhkd), Kalpeni (Lakshadweep), East Jaintia Hills, East Khasi Hills & Ri-Bhoi (all Meghalaya), Harda & Neemuch (each MP), Firozpur & Fazilka (each Punjab), Jhalawar (Raj), Krishnagiri (TN), Purba Medinipur (WB).
