“Virat Kohli kamzori..” Mohammed Kaif lambasts India for not planning vs Travis Head after Adelaide loss

The third IND vs AUS BGT Check is scheduled to happen on the Gabba, Brisbane, from December 14.

It has been almost two days since India suffered a 10-wicket defeat to Australia in the second Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT). The Pat Cummins-led side completely dominated the proceedings and won the clash in just seven sessions. Two of the architects of their win were Travis Head and Scott Boland. Owing to this, Mohammed Kaif questioned why Indian pacers couldn’t counter Head’s dominance, despite Australia’s backup bowlers, like Boland, successfully exploiting Virat Kohli’s weaknesses.

What did Mohammed Kaif say after IND vs AUS 2nd Test?

Kaif literally pointed out that if the Australian players came up with proper planning, why couldn’t Rohit Sharma’s India do that? He gave an example of Scott Boland, who was playing his first Test since last Ashes. The pacer, who came in as Josh Hazlewood’s replacement, constantly torubled the Indian batters and took 5 wickets in the match, including a vital Virat Kohli wicket in the second innings.

When Boland, someone who doesn’t play consistently, knows how to exploit this, why can’t we trap Travis Head? If his weakness is outside the off-stump, why don’t we consistently bowl there? Every batsman has weaknesses,” Kaif said in a video posted on his social media.

Kaif lambasted India for not preparing well enough to tackle Travis Head’s charge. The southpaw took away the game from India, hammering a blistering 140 off 141. India had no plans to counter Head as he bludgeoned 17 fours and 4 sixes.

Virat Kohli ki kamzori log pakad ke rakhe hue hai, off-stump ke bahar ball daalo, wo waha out honge (everyone knows Virat Kohli’s weakness; bowl him outside the off-stump; he gets out there). You’ll need to adopt the same strategy against Travis Head as well. You need to move ahead with proper planning. You need to attack him from the first ball; you need to make a fixed plan to exploit his weakness, and then you can get him out,” Kaif added.
