2024 Fall Cross Nation Coaching & Racing Program, October 29, 2024, Week 7, Day 2, Tuesday is for Tempo and Hills!

The 2024 Cross Nation season is right here! 

We’re going to construct you up for the lengthy season now!

A lot of the 560,000 highschool girls and boys in cross nation are competing in highschool cross nation in 2024 raced final weekend.

Tuesday will embrace a 20-minute tempo run and a hill session.

Tempo runs make it easier to construct for the center of the race, and hills add energy and velocity to your mortal engine.

Monday, Week 7, Day  2,  October 29, 2024

Heat-up nicely,

quarter-hour of average working,

20 minute Tempo run, on flat surfaces, run at 20 seconds per mile SLOWER than present 5k racing tempo (so if you’re racing at 5:40 per mile tempo,

then, do tempo at six minute per mile tempo), quarter-hour of average working, 8 x 300m hills, jog down, 10 minutes of average working.

Test your sneakers and ensure that your coaching sneakers

are prepared for 10-14 extra weeks of coaching. (Most sneakers make it 12-16 weeks of coaching)
