TACLOBAN CITY — The Division of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is ready to implement instructional infrastructure initiatives for ten state universities and faculties (SUCs) in Japanese Visayas.
The DPWH within the area on Nov. 26 mentioned the initiatives value about P468.1 million aimed to modernize instructional services for college students by way of partnerships with SUCs.
These initiatives observe a memorandum of settlement (MOA) underneath Republic Act 11975 or the Normal Appropriations Act 2024, which mandates the DPWH to handle SUC initiatives.
The funding is distributed among the many following SUCs:
- Biliran Province State College, Naval, Biliran, P106 million
- Palompon Institute of Expertise, Palompon, Leyte, P50 million
- Japanese Visayas State College, Tacloban Metropolis, P77.9 million
- Japanese Samar State College, Guiuan Campus, Japanese Samar, P15 million
- Leyte Regular College, Tacloban Metropolis P95 million
- Visayas State College, Baybay Metropolis, Leyte, P45.6 million
- Samar State College, Catbalogan Metropolis, Samar, P25 million
- Northwest Samar State College, Calbayog Metropolis, Samar, P13.6 million
- Southern Leyte State College, Maasin Metropolis, Southern Leyte, P15 million
- UP-Manila College of Well being Sciences, Palo, Leyte: P25 million
The initiatives embrace the development of latest tutorial buildings, dormitories, multi-purpose services and specialised laboratories, in addition to the rehabilitation and upgrading of current constructions.
